This was my first visit with Dr. Loftus. I chose him based on Yelp and Vital.com website reviews. His wait time was 10-15 minutes while I completed a few questions regarding the reason for my visit. I truly appreciated the his thorough examination and explanation. The staff was great as well. The next door pharmacy was able to fill my prescriptions quickly despite being a new patient. I haven’t logged into the patient portal but am looking forward to using it in the near future.

Dr. Loftus is the most thorough and thoughtful neurologist I’ve ever been to. He never gave up on me (I was a difficult case), and eventually my chronic migraines were brought under control. It’s comforting to know your doctor always has something new to try if things aren’t going well.

After seeing another neurologist once, I choose to seek out another for a second opinion. Thank goodness I stumbled across his website. OI booked an appointment for 2 weeks out (first available), but asked to be put on a waiting list and was seen much much sooner. He is very polite, down to business and reasonable to be seen without insurance. I do find using the online patient portal to contact the office/doctor with questions that are not an emergency extremely helpful and access to my chart incase needed by another physician is excellent.

For 20+ years I have been told I have Migraines, which was amended to chronic cluster headaches. I have taken numerous medications, given myself shots, applied diets free of caffeine and chocolate, had sinus and neck surgeries, acupuncture, cortisone shots in my head, MRI’s, CAT scans, not to mention all countless visits to the ER, all to no avail. Within 10 minutes speaking with Dr Loftus, he informed me that I had been misdiagnosed all these years, he knew what was wrong, and he has a game plan to help me. Improved Quality of Living! I do not remember a time in my life that I didn’t have migraines. As a child, my parents were told to get my eyes checked, give me Tylenol, drink more water, etc. I basically had to learn to live with the pain. As an adult, I knew there was no way I could function without getting my migraines under control. A friend told me to make an appointment with Dr. Loftus and that was hands down the best advice I’ve ever received. I no longer wake up every morning wondering if a migraine is going to ruin my day. Dr. Loftus and his staff are compassionate, friendly, and very professional! I’ve been a patient for around 10 years, and I tell EVERYONE to make an appointment with him the second they tell me they have migraines.

I am so thankful to have found Bellaire Neurology/Dr Loftus. His staff is great and I love that he has a patient portal where you can manage all appointments, refills and messages to him or his staff. He DOES reply quickly not like some Dr.’s office’s that you can never reach or get answers. Since seeing him for the last 6 months he has been so beneficial to my treatment and tries so many different approaches. Dr. Loftus is phenomenal! I have been going to him for several years now. I am slowly hopefully gaining some sort of normalcy back in my life. When I first went to him I was bedridden and couldn’t function due to severe, severe, severe migraines. I am doing better now. I’m nowhere near as bad as I was back then. I was so nauseated because of the severity of my migraines it was nothing for me to throw up day after day because of them being so bad.
