It is very reassuring to deal with Dr Loftus who is so knowledgeable when it comes to addressing my concerns about migraines and how to alleviate them !

I always have a great experience with Dr. Loftus and his staff. He really listens and manages my migraine treatment better than any Dr. I have ever had.

Dr. Loftus is awesome. This was my first time coming to see him–from out of town. My previous neurologist had literally given up on helping my status migraine. She didn’t even know that’s what it was (or if she did, never mentioned it). I was desperate and needed someone who could help and he came recommended by a friend. The 2.5 hour drive was well worth it. He listened to me for quite a long while, asked questions, and had A PLAN. Exactly what I needed. If a didn’t work, there would be b, then option c. He asked questions about things that I had never thought about (and neither had many other doctors). I left with optimism I haven’t had for a long time. Listening was like drinking through a firehose. There was a lot of information to take in, and when you don’t feel well to start, it can be a lot. I tried to take high level notes but luckily at the end of the visit, the office gave me a summary of what we had discussed and detailed instructions of his plan for treatment and how to take medications. I’m looking forward to being able to consult with him virtually at future appointments and know that he has treatments available (in Houston) if I need them. By the way, get the iHeadache app. It is so handy. I’d been looking for one for so long and it’s fantastic; finally got rid of the old notebook tracker.

A visit to Dr. Loftus is always an uplifting, hopeful experience. He cares. My chronic migraines have improved tremendously in the year and a half I have been seeing Dr. Loftus. His staff is professional and friendly.

I have suffered with migraines since 2012. Not just any migraines severe, debilitating migraines . I would be bedridden for days, weeks and at one point even months. I have been to doctors all over Louisiana and Texas since the end of 2012. I finally started going to a neuro-ophthalmologist in the Houston area in either 2015 or 16. ( Dr. Rosa Tang ) She was treating me for another health problem that I have been suffering with since 2012 as well. When I gave her my medical history I told her about my migraines. They would be so severe at times that I would get migraines in my eyes and it would feel like someone was stabbing me with a knife in my eyes. I would also get extremely nauseated and have even thrown up on several occasions due to the severity of my migraines. Dr. Tang referred me to Dr. Loftus sometime around the beginning of 2017. Honestly, I thought why? I’ve been to all these other doctors and had very little hope that he would be able to help me. I met with Dr. Loftus and he was very thorough. He stayed in the room with me asking questions for at least 20 minutes. He started me on a new medicine and did treatment on me that day. From that day forward my migraines have gotten so much better. I’m slowly getting my life back. We have had to adjust my medicine a couple of times. But I can tell a huge difference since I began going there. Yes, I still do get migraines however, they are nowhere near as severe as they used to be. I can function so much better now since Dr Loftus has been training me. He doesn’t just throw his hands up in the air and say I don’t know how to help you, he keeps trying new things until he finds a solution. He is phenomenal, his staff is great and I’m so thankful that God made a way and lead me to his office. I highly, highly recommend him if anyone out there has had their life stolen from them by migraines.

Dr. Loftus is a very compassionate and exceptional doctor. I’ve been to several doctors to treat my chronic migraines and he is by far the best doctor I’ve seen. He is always up to date on the latest treatments, very understanding, and always there to help you get out of pain or advise you on the best preventative treatments. His staff is also very responsive and always nice and friendly. I would recommend anyone dealing with migraines to see Dr. Loftus. I am very thankful he is my neurologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Loftus for 15 years for chronic migraine. Before Dr. Loftus, I had seen 4 other neurologist and none of them gave me any hope. At my first visit with Dr. Loftus he said, “I will not give up if you won’t either.” From that first visit Dr. Loftus has not given up and I can not ask for a more professional and knowledgeable doctor. I encourage anyone reading this that has a neurological problem to see this kind, concerned and professional doctor.
